I have worn Carolina boots for well over 15 years. I wanted to try a different model and based on other reviews, I chose these. The first pair I received ion my normal Carolina boot size was too small and were immediately returned. Since they were too small, I was not able to asses the arch, toe, width and other comfort zones of the boots. I ordered a 1/2 size larger. The new boots arrived and they felt like a full size larger but this time I noticed no arch support and the toe box, particularly on my right foot, seemed to be compressed and I could feel the steel toe it on my toes when I walked. Being certain that that would not last a minute on a construction site, I returned these and order the Carolina boot I have been buying for many years. While noticing some changes to quality over the years, they seem to still fit OK .
