I bought a size 8w since I have flat wide feet and they fit very well. I typically wear an 8 and also bought a size 8 in the the Darrah style and those were too big and slide off my feet, but this style always fit perfect - just the perfect amount of extra space. I work in the restaurant business and I'm on my feet 8-9 hours a day. I also have very low arches and have found that these shoes keep my lower back and knees from hurting. I got lucky and found these without trying many brands though, so I don't have a lot to compare with. I do notice that I do need to replace them about every 3 or 4 months just due to how hard I am on them or my back and knees start hurting. I gave them 4 start instead of 5 because I have noticed that they are not as slip resistant as other shoes I have tried. They work, but still slick on some floors with just splashes of water.

I have shoes for a quite long time, there is another beauty of nurse mates shoes, they are slip resistant, considering that nurses use to walk quick and there are some risk, so we need a good pair of shoes.

I bought from shoeline some Dove shoes for my colleagues in Ecuador, They are very pleased, we have a very busy job, work at the biggest hospital here and we always wear Nurse mates shoes, because they are so comfortable to stand long shifts. And Dove shoes are wonderful for us.

I am an Operating Room Nurse with over 30 years of experience and have worn Nurse Mates and more specifically Dove Nurse Mates for the majority of my career. I am a teacher and stand on my feet all day. This is a comfortable shoe, but it does fit long and slips at the heel, so go down a 1/2 size. The shoe fits wider at the toes a little bit. I usually wear 7.5M and am exchanging them for a 7M. I love the feel of them when they are on, so I can't wait to get the next pair, and hopefully they will fit better.

I always ordered Nurse Mate Dove shoes, but they changed the soles and I hate squeaking when I walk. The durability isn't as good either---the leather separates from the sole in front.

I fell in love with these shoes the first time I tried them on. I have purchased the white and black for winter. It doesn't feel like you have a shoe on, they are like walking on a cloud. After they start looking not so new, I wear them for houseshoes. I probably have bought at least 10 pair or more. They are easy to clean too.

My third pair of this style of nursemates from shoeline.com.I was never worried, this shoe fits from day one, I got them yesterday, wore them to work today and they felt like I owned them forever. For the price, the quality can't be beat, they last me a full year, well this is my first black pair,so maybe longer since I work on a large campus and do have to walk outside a lot in all kids of weather, not just on a clean hospital floor. I had pink and black patent before...make sure you condition the leather after the first day when you see the shoe forming to your foot, if there are lines on top, use some conditioner to avoid cracking of the leather, other than that this is the perfect work shoe for long hours on your feet. Superlight as well. I forgot that I was wearing new shoes until I took them off, and that is something that you can't say with the expensive Da. brand shoes which are heavy and uncomfortable to wear in and cost three times as much! The most comfortable shoe I’’ve EVER worn from Dansko to Skechers to Nike. I’’ve had chronic low back muscular/sciatic pain for 15+ years and these shoes alone have nearly eliminated the sciatica. I wear them for 12+ hour work days shopping moderate walking you name it. I have a black pair for casual days and they almost look like plain loafers with jeans. Not the coolest but worth the comfort. I have a wide foot ball and narrow heel and the 7.5W fits perfectly. And since Shoeline has them on sale about 3-4 times a year they’’re affordable and easy to order.

I have bought about seven pairs of this shoe in different colors in the last six years since they fit well and feel wonderful. I have minor plantar fasciitis so these are great. I wish they would bring back the brown and navy non-shiny shoe colors in Dove. Mine have worn out. They are great for travelling also as they are slipons and help with a lot of standing.

I have only worn these for a few days but so far they have been fine. My feet haven’’t hurt and there isn’’t that getting the shoe worn in period. I had read some reviews that said the fit was small so I got 1/2 size bigger than I needed so the are a little big but do not move up and down when I wslk so they do not cause blisters. So far they have been great the only reason I am not giving these a 5 on the scale is because I really haven’’t worn them long enough to be completely sure.

Very fast shipping I wear a regular/medium width and have a thin foot but felt these fit kinda snug. If your feet swell after being on them all night at work they can become uncomfortable if you wear regular socks. Had I not already wore them to work I would have sent them back for a wide width. I then tried them with thinner socks and also just wearing Teds without socks and that helped. Overall tho they are comfortable and lightweight.

I’’m so happy with my first purchase of Nurse Mates Dove I’’ve been having what appears to be Plantar Fasciitis and sprained ankle pain for months from the concrete flooring at work and supination. These shoes have greatly improved the stability of my feet and reduced the substantial ankle pain I was having. The thick soles cushion every step. I’’m sure this is only the first of many purchases of this style I will make.. Please consider coming out with other basic mat leather colors such as brown tan or grey.

As a Nurse I was hoping for a clearer color distinction between the "black" "navy" and "brown" that I ordered. The colors are hardly distinguishable. I have to keep them in separate boxes to tell them apart. Also the patent leather cracked almost immediately rendering the shoe to look very shabby unkemp and unprofessional shortly after wearing them[one to two weeks}. On the plus side they are among the most comfortable shoes I have ever found to complete a 12 hour shift in and don’’t feel like I have to kick them off as soon as I get home. All of the "dove" nursing shoes are extremely lightweight and comfortable. I just wish the colors and materials were better made and differentiated.

Great shoes No need to have a break in period. Slip on easily although only a tiny bit wider than I would have thought. Shipping takes a while on these BUT shoes did arrive on the scheduled day Yay I was worried they wouldn’’t be here for my first day of nursing school but they were and I was thrilled Would buy same shoes again from this website.

I started working as a nurse aid 2 years ago. I was having a lot of problems with heel pain. I had gone to the foot doctor and spent a lot of money to be told I had Plantar Faciatis and needed expensive inserts. I absolutely LOVE these shoes I have developed plantar fascitis and so I was looking for a pair of shoes that would be easy on the feet during clinicals where I spend long periods of time standing and walking. I got these with a pair of SuperFeet insoles and they are FABULOUS There was NO break-in time needed for these shoes. They are lightweight and soft. I am now wearing them frequently even when I am not in clinicals - because while they might not be the most fashionable shoes in the world they are most certainly comforatble. I am so impressed with them that I did a womens to mens size coversion and ordered a pair in black for my son who is an RN. BTW google for a coupon and you may find a discount for them:

I’’ve worn this shoe before and am somewhat pleased with it’’s comfort. The only thing I don’’t like is that the "tongue" part of the shoe is a little too long and rubs against the front of my leg which can be annoying. They need to make that vamp at least 1/2 inch shorter.

Overall this is a comfortable shoe however I did have to exchange it for a 1/2 size smaller than what I normally where. Since there are no laces and there is a heel my feet would slide forward and the shoe would slide off with the shoe size that I normally wear. The great thing was that I could exchange the shoes without having to pay for SH.

Took two tries to get the right size. I thought the 7.5M meant "Men’’s" and the 7.5W meant "Women’’s". Turns out it means Wide and Medium. Confusing to me at least and according to the lady I talked to when returning the first pair of 7.5W I’’m not the only one. Why not call them Wide and Medium? Seems like there is plenty of space on this website to do that. Anyway the return went without a glitch the 7.5M size showed up and fits my wife perfectly. She loves them on her feet on a concrete floor all day her feet are much happier. Which makes me happier as well.

Having previous purchased a pair of Nurse Mates size 6 1/2 that were a little large I purchased these in a 6 and they were a perfect fit. The elastic gore made them a little snug over the top of my foot but I suspect this will loosen a bit with time. Overall they are very comfortable. The only thing I didn’’t like is that they have a very strong chemical smell-my other Nurse Mates did not have this. I sure hope it dissipates with time. Thus far it has not. It’’s probably something in the dye.

I am a flight attendant looking for some new work shoes in navy blue. I just finished wearing these for 8 hours inflight. I am really happy with the shoe in this price category. They are very light weight. Slightly narrow and a little long in the toe but mostly true to fit. Originally I thought I might get 1/2 size smaller but after wearing I think they might stretch out a little. The arch support is not great for really high arches. The sole feels like my good running shoes. They are not airport friendly since they have some steel in them. Over all I will probably buy another pair.

Very comfortable over all. Light weight and easy to put on. I removed the insole that came in the shoe. I have high arches and it was thin provided little to no cushion and no arch support. I replaced it with a gel insole and then an arch support insole on top of that. With the double cushion they are great. I bought three types of Nurse Mates and this is the pair I decided was the best. I would definately get another pair of these.

I am very disappointed in these shoes. I am on my feet 7.5 hours out of eight and I can’’t wait to sit down and take these shoes off for 30 minutes. My heels hurt the balls of my feet hurt and I have lumps on each side of my foot big enough to add another "pinky" toe When I first got them I liked the light weight but the more I wore them the more I hated them. I cannot believe that these are recommended for nurses and the like. My feet ache and tingle constantly

The shoe is light weight and soft and fits well. I am on my feet at least 10 hours a day. I still had my feet hurting and burning by the middle of my shift. They are fine for about 4 hours of wear after that they really weren’’t comfortable.... I am still looking for a pair of shoes that can last the whole shift. I haven’’t found that pair yet.

The size 9 was too long and the size 8.5 was too short and narrow - after a couple of attempts I have given up on this shoe. Shoeline.com is to be commended for carrying a large variety of shoes however thumbs down on providing footwear for those of us who have "special needs" wide toebox narrow heel orthotic etc. yet want style.

I had to return the normal width shoe for the wide. Also I had to change out the insert due to the lack of an arch support. Overall the shoe is comfortable and cushiony.

I walk on cement all the time so I added a pad to the inside of the shoe. My feet don’’t hurt anymore. I don’’t mind the wide fit as my feet swell from being on them so much. Thank you it made a difference.

I’’m usually an 8 I ordered an 8.5 because I wanted a lot of room. My toes hurt at end of long days like I do many are 16 hour shifts and if I wear shoes that "fit" it’’s no good. These are comfortable and give my toes plenty of room without the shoe slipping.
