I got these boots for my husband. He wears them every day and works as a carpenter. His first pair lasted a year. I’d love for them to last longer, but maybe that’s an unrealistic expectation for his amount of wear.

I work construction every day and these boots are great. I also keep a second pair to wear casually. I've even seen yuppies wearing them around Nashville. I hope that don't make the price go up.??

On my 5th pair now, love the boot, very comfortable. Soles do wear out faster than normal soles, have yet to wear out the leather tops. Soles are very soft, kinda like a sponge. Also, i don't know know if anyone else has had this issue, but the soles after a while begin to smell funny. It's as if the spongy sole absorbs moisture and then beings to fester. I know what you're thinking, but I swear it's not my feet. It's a real nasty smell too... anyway, what I do is first, when the shoe is DRY, make a bleach water solution and soak the soles, allowing the bleach to absorb into the sole but NOT touch the leather. Then I use a pressure washer to blast the shoe clean and let them dry. The smell is gone for a while! just don't use too much bleach, I did that with one pair and it partially dissolved the sole... this also brings back the whiteness to the soles, like new!

Fits like all other Carolina Boots, but better quality that the non-domestic made boots. Soles wear out faster because they are SOFT, but that's what makes them more comfortable. Leather holds out great, this is my 4th pair, they last about 8 - 9 months, I'm a farmer.

Accurate fit, these American made boots are much softer than the cheaper, dark brown Carolina boots. They hold up longer, and are comfortable right out of the box. NO BREAK IN PERIOD!! The sole's wear out but the tops last forever, so getting them resoled once or even twice isn't unheard of. The wedges look kinda funny but have some kind of special foot supporting properties that make them much more comfortable if your on your feet all day.... Just ordered my 3rd pair!

Great boots at a great price(though I did buy them on sale), the most comfortable, least break-in time boots I've ever worn. After wearing Redwings for decades until quality control faltered, I decided to try Carolinas, and I'm totally sold on these boots. My current pair is on year 3, being a commercial painter that's a lot of rungs climbed, and the wedge soles are a must. Bought this pair for the future as occasionally certain models/styles are sometimes discontinued, though hopefully Carolina knows what they have here and these particular boots are here to stay. I'd hate to face the work day without them, thanks.

Best boots ever. Comfortable from the first wearing, tough uppers that hold up to daily on the job work, and soles that offer longevity and stability while working from ladders and roofs. I've been a painting contractor for 30 yrs., during which I've tried a multitude of different high end boots, and these are the best I've found by far. I just bought my 2nd pair even though my originals are still on the job. Shoeline offered a very good sale price and fearful these particular boots might be discontinued( I hate it when that happens) I decided to have a 2nd pair waiting in the wings...take comfort where comfort can be found. I have had Red wings, Lacosse and wanted to try these and I am glad I did. Being over 45 yrs old 6'2 250 I needed support for working on concrete all day long and with the arch support it makes a world of difference.2 thumds up to Carolina and shoeline for carrying them.I will purchase again.
