Overall, a very good boot that I think fits true to size. I've bought two pairs, now; with the 2nd pair a half-size larger, just to see if that would feel better. I usually wear 8-2E, and I've tried 8-2E and 8.5-2E. From my experience with these, if you wear thick socks, the 8-2E would feel slightly snug, whereas the 8.5-2E would still have a comfortable looseness. The toe area is roomy, and the upper feels protective, with its metatarsal layer. The upper leather is moderately thick and unlined. The insole is a cushion-type, without arch support and I think a bit too soft; I would prefer firmer and with arch support. Buying through Shoeline is easy and quick. No complaints about that.

These boots are true to size, very comfortable, good looking and extremely well built. Carolina did it right with these boots. I would recommend these boots to anyone!

Very comfy boot. Cannot tell they are internal metatarsals when wearing them. I had internal mets before and hated them. These feel just like regular boots. They are quite big though.
