I order a 1/2 size down from my normal sneaker size with Chippewa boots. My usual size is 10 and 10 boots do fit, but a 9.5 gives me glove like fitment. Also, I don't have to worry about choosing the right socks-- with a 9.5 any sock will do and Chipp boots are the most comfy boots I own. Compared to 500-1000 dollar boots, even custom made boots, Chippewa boots are by far the most comfortable boots to do boot things in. I really would hate to bang around in 1,000 dollar boots. Chipp's are the way to go.

Well I took a chance here as I really wanted a pair of these and ordered a half size smaller. 11 E. They fit just fine with normal socks. These boots are very different than other Chips I have. No removable rubber insole. The have a glued-in padded leather insole that feels quite good. The construction is pure Chippewa. Solid and well done. Thick well stitched leather welt. Great Vibram soles. The toe box is very well reinforced and thanks to the way Chippewa does their moc toe I expect these boots to hold their shape very well. Sad they seem to be discontinued but I'm sure Chippewa will bring them or a very similar version back. I now have 5 pairs of Chips and am at this point no longer a Redwing guy.
