Girls, I have to tell you, I have NEVER had a problem with a Sofft shoe until today!! I am so sad and still in pain (both physical and emotional). I got the Westwood in Denim. It laid in the box in all its gorgeousness. It really is a beautiful blue-gray. Much truer to the name "Denim" than my monitor shows. Like a favorite old pair of jeans. I pulled it out and slipped it on (with some unladylike grunting). I stood up and - fell back into the chair!! The pain in my ankles was so bad that I thought that I had cut myself!! Both the inner and outer ankles bones felt like all of my considerable weight was resting on that tiny nub. I tried stuffing Kleenex, sorry - tissues - hoping to start the stretching process, absolutely no luck!! They are cut just too straight across around the ankle for my foot. Oddly, the heel itself seems to be cut so as to lean forward in the pair that I received as well so I just didn't balance in them? I wish you better luck than I had - mine have
