In 1992 I bought my first pair of 1525 Corcoran Field Boots, and I wore them every day for ten years. I lived in Austin Texas, and it was hot, so I wore a thin sock with no insert, and strapped my 13E foot into a 12D. The instep is cut far into the boot, so it functions like an arch support which is the only way to make sense of the reviews that say "fits a size and half too big." The Brannock says my foot is a 13E, 13.5D, or 14C and for long walking its kinda important not to have so much toe room that it will trip you, right? The Munson Army last takes more measurements for the function of your foot than most Lasts like the Barrie, Edmonds 65, or the Martens Unisex/Comfort last, so there are a lot of sizes that people's feet can actually fit into, but then you change what size you adopt based on what you plan to do. I'm older now, and my foot has spread wider, and I walk a lot less than I wish, so I changed to adopt use of the powerstep pinnacle inserts, and that does put m

My last pair has lasted 9 years worn on average 6-8 hours a week and still has plenty of life in them, however, needed a brand new pair for something else. They shine well, and will last if you care for them.

These boots are really top of the line. They have survived everyday heavy wear from a 230 lbs man for three years without any major flaw. Excellent!

The pair of boots I purchased fit great very comfortable with plenty of room inside but not too big either just a near perfect fit and comfortable. The price of my boots on the other hand did not match up with the price of the current catalog I was looking at and was over $50.00 dollars more plus as I remember about another $30.00 for the shipping. Good boots good fit......

I bought a pair of jump boots to polish and wear to special occasions so I purchased this second pair to work in. I chose them because of the lug sole and super tough vibram sole. I love these boots. They are light and they really make my feet feel great
