I love these boots, they are well made and very comfortable. I work for a County Highway Dept. in the northeast, so winters are a very good test for the warmth and waterproofing of these boots. Summers here can be hot and humid here not to mention the rain, these boots keep me cool and dry all summer long as well. Over the years, this is my 4th pair I would buy any other.

Mixxed Feelings on width design. I bought these boots straight from Chippewa site. The boot actually is hands down built great. They are comfortable. I just dont like the large width in front of boot. The photo that represents this boot online on either websites or other retailers is shot in an angle that does not show the round front. When I recieved them, I thought I ordered the wrong boot. But after checking. These are correct but picture is misleading. I wish the boot was narrower in front. I am using them as a casual boot to wear with Jean.

This is a beautiful shoe. The leather is Horween and double tanned chrome xl and veg tan, and it was originally marketed as self polishing. A vigorous brushing will make the black leather shine without polish most of the time. Its got a sturdy recraftable leather welt, and rides on the second most popular outsole ever, the vibram cristy, and that Combs last is accomodating for a really comfortable fit (same last thats used to make super popular engineer boots). I love this shoe.

I bought a pair of these last year to replace a Carolina boot that got discontinued. Well, this boot is far more superior to replaced boots. They are amazingly comfortable and waterproof. My old boots physically look shot but never busted or leaked. The soles stayed on them and the entire time of owning them only broke a shoelace which is to be expected. I wear these boots non stop everyday and this is now my go to boot. I am purchasing my 3rd pair as we speak just to have them. Do not frat the price, they are worth every penny.

I have extreme overpronation of both feet. As a result, my choices for boots are limited. I’ve tried using store bought and custom-made orthotics and got limited relief.I purchased the Chippewa Men’s 6" Aldrich Black Boot hoping to get some relief. I also was looking for a boot that I could wear to work in an office that would not scream out “work boot.”I received the boots and found out the nonremovable foot bed was hard and offered very little, in any, support. So, I inserted a pair of New Balance Stability 3720 insoles in the boots and they fit perfectly.Coupled with the New Balance inserts and the six-inch boot tops, they added stability to my ankles, making these boots some of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn for my overpronation.I’ve received a number of positive comments on how nice the boots look in my office environment. One note, these boots really take on a very nice shine when polished with neutral shoe cream. Additionally, I replaced the st

Shoeline had the boot I was looking for, great price and quick shipping with clearly an easy return process (which I won’t be needing). This was my first pair of real boots. I wanted something for all around. Outdoors, water proof, warm and with just a pair jeans out in town. That’s why I went with these from Chippewa. Just wearing them around the house on day 1 but so far I can tell I’m going to like these boots. They are comfy, my feet are toasty but not so warm they are sweating. I accidentally ordered a EEE not really knowing about boot width. It was a mistake that worked out in my favor. I don’t think I have wide feet but these feel fine with a boot sock. Good room in the toe box, I got messed up toes so the extra room should help. Looking forward to wearing these boots out in the sticks. Hiking, hunting or 4 wheeling.

Well I took a chance here as I really wanted a pair of these and ordered a half size smaller. 11 E. They fit just fine with normal socks. These boots are very different than other Chips I have. No removable rubber insole. The have a glued-in padded leather insole that feels quite good. The construction is pure Chippewa. Solid and well done. Thick well stitched leather welt. Great Vibram soles. The toe box is very well reinforced and thanks to the way Chippewa does their moc toe I expect these boots to hold their shape very well. Sad they seem to be discontinued but I'm sure Chippewa will bring them or a very similar version back. I now have 5 pairs of Chips and am at this point no longer a Redwing guy.
