I felt this product's fit was true to size

I felt this product's width was true to width

I love these boots. I’’ve been wanting a pair of tanker boots for years. The leather is very soft but sturdy and both boots match very well. They are light but well-built - these are real boots not just fashion boots. I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship. And they are so comfortable There is plenty of room in the toe box. My only complaint is that the strap leather is a little too stretchy on both boots but they match so I can live with it. Overall I am very pleased with these boots.

It took me a few days to figure out how to wear this boot. It’’s meant to be worn slouchy not cinched up tight and upright on your calf. Every time I wear them other women tell me they like them every time. Yes as other reviews have said the straps are thin but once I figured out how to wear them I don’’t think that will be a problem. These boots look great tucked in pants or not. Very comfortable right out of the box.

I felt this product's fit was true to size

I felt this product's width was fits narrow

These are gorgeous - super soft leather light weight solid craftsmanship. For me they fit a bit narrow in the inner edge of the heel but otherwise a great.

Product Description

As the name suggests, these are boots used by tank crewmen in the military. During WWI, then Captain George Patton, Jr. adopted this idea from the French military. These boots do not utilize laces that can become entangled in the many moving parts of a tank. Tank crewmen are also exposed to very muddy conditions, and the strap/buckle enclosures are much easier to loosen up than mud-hardened laces. Today’s modern versions have safety toes and have flame/chemical retardants used on the materials.

  • There are many legends surrounding the origin of the Tanker boot, one crediting a young Captain George Patton with coming up with the idea during battle in the first World War. Whatever the source, these laceless boots prevent wearers from becoming tangled in moving parts of machinery, such as tanks, as the name suggest, and protect against the elements. Simple, but highly effective, these practical boots are legendary not just for the stories of their origin, but for the protection and persistence they have afforded both military personnel and those seeking a high performance boot that offers maximum protection and comfort.
