my son thinks these are great.these are his 2nd pair of carolina boots that i have ordered for him from shoeline. he has a pair of insulated and noninsulated. he has not had a problem with either pair..before i got this last pair he went to corral boot storebought a pair and had to take them back cause they rubbed the top of his foot. i think shoeline has a wonderful customer service personel since i did my ordering over the phone in stead of online very nice and helpful . hope this helps i did not make comments on the first pair of boots and wish i had because i use the comments of other customers and my sons reads them too {the reson i am writing this is he would’’nt take the time and it was my credit card we used}

I have purchased three pairs of Carolina boots from Shoeline. And I don’’t mean sequential pairs to replace outworn boots. I mean that I own an insulated waterproof pair for winter a waterproof pair for hiking in the other three seasons and a plain leather pair Woodsman for walking about town. I do not understand how Carolina can make such great boots in my size 13 4xEE or Shoeline can sell them at such a great price but I walk an awful lot and these are the best footwear value that I have ever come across.

I just got these boots a week ago and took them for an overnight backpack trip 12 miles into extremely rugged terain utilizing game trails only. I never lost my footingthe fit was perfect and the ankle support kept me from twisting an ankle. These are the best boots I’’ve ever used.

I really like the look and style but I had to return a 12 4e because I could not get my foot into it. then got a 13 4e was able to get my foot in it and fit comfortable but could not get the leg of the boot comfortably around my calf area. One would think that If someone as ordering a 4e wide shoe the calf area would also need to be wider then standard. I am wondering if this is an engineering issue or just a cost savings as to not add to much material to the boot. This is not your problem but the manufacturers. I had to return the second pair and as Carolina had no suitable alternative I had to go with a competitors brand.

First pair of Carolina boots ever. Fit perfect from the start almost no break-in. Very well made. It’s nice to find non-steel toe and non-insulated boots. Why do most boot manufacturers think we need insulated boots in the summer? The souls of course also have great traction as expected. I couldn’t be happier with these boots.
