I’’m still breaking these boots in and so far am VERY happy with them I love that they are made in the USA and are a "real" boot with a "real" heal... not some moulded soft rubber made in China. If I need to I think I can have these boots re-soled which is huge for me. The boots are fine. What really impressed me was Shoeline’’s customer service. I received my boots three business days after my order. However the first pair I received would have fit my foot but I could not get them on past my high instep no surprise this has always been a problem for me. I debated going a half-size larger knowing I might still have to ask for a refund. I phoned Shoeline and was encouraged to exchange and not worry about it. I used the pre-printed label that came with the boots filled out the re-order form that likewise came with the boots and left the package at UPS. A day later I got an e-mail acknowledging the return and stating that the replacement boots were in process. A day later I got a message the replacements had shipped and I had them two days later - and I was able to get them on.

Not quite a half-size large but the boot is pretty "roomy" hence the one star hit plenty of room for an insert or orthotic. Nice arch support and heel cup-they were comfy right out of the box. Basic black btkickers simple and versatile. I love ’’em Warning: the unlined shaft will stain your socks until they’’re worn in but I think this is true for any brand’’s engineer boot. Good boot good value
