This is a nice looking boot - I had to return it because the boot against the top of my calf gaps too much for me. My calves are thinner so it bugs me to have such a wide gap between the boot and my leg. Also this is a tall-ish boot and I'm only 5'5 so when I bend at the knees, the back of the boot hits the back of my knee but this wasn't a deal breaker. Otherwise, I would have kept the boot since everything else - the fit at my foot, the height of the heel, the material - were very nice.

I just got the tan version for my fiance. Alexa, and does she look so sexy in these boots! The combination tan shaft / foot, along with the black strip on the back of the leg and the bottom / heel of the boot adds a touch of sophistication.These may be called riding boots, but my fiance doesn't ride horses. Alexa uses boots for everyday casual wear, as well as parties, family get-togethers, a night out on the town, and bad weather (rain / snow / ice / slush / cold). She will wear these Born Helen boots around the house to "break them in, so that when Fall comes, they will be ready to go!Like her other Born boots, these boots go great with jeans, skirts, blouses, dresses, you name it.The quality and style are even more impressive for the price.Alexa has boots she's paid nearly three times the price for, and are no better in terms of craftsmanship, style and comfort!I hope this review helps you make an informed decision.
