I purchased these boots as my summer work boots, since they don't have insulation. I wore them for five months this past summer and I am very happy with them, as expected. They are comfortable and fit true to size and width. They have a composite toe cap, they are waterproof, and have protective leather around the sides and back and protective rubber cap up front. The only thing that's missing on them is metatarsal guard. They have no metal parts on them, so they are perfect for passing through security checkpoints and metal detectors.

I've been wearing the model CA2533 Carolina boots for the last 4-5 years. About 1 set of boots every year. Use to wear red wings and other branded boots but since I've found shoeline and the Carolina boots I have never been happier with the fit, performance and especially the time it takes for a pair to break-in Usually about a week or so to break-in others but the Carolinas are comfortable within a couple of hours to a day. I'm a person of habit and don't always like trying new things when things are working great for me but I took a chance and decided to try the CA5533 boots. Although they are a little more pricey than the model CA2533 I love them and like the different look and reinforced toe. Will be ordering a back up pair soon. Thanks shoeline.

I have had Carolina Brand Boots before and liked them so much, they are the only boots I wear anymore. I will be ordering more in the future when needed because they are sturdy, well made and stand up to wear and tear well.

Boots are very warm. It doesn't say they have an insulation rating, but they should. Pretty much a winter boot only.
