I bought these shoes for my mother-in-law who constantly has to battle swollen feet and ankles and uses a walker full-time. She has worn them every day since I got them for her and is walking better than normal. She says they make her feel more stable and she’’s less afraid to walk. She normally doesn’’t wear a wide but with the swelling I thought it would be helpful and it was.

I had to send the shoes back because they were for an elderly person who has one foot that is very misshapen and that shoe did not fit at all the good foot was fine but the service was wonderful and the return policy great. I would definitely order from your company again.

My mom loves them. The velcro strap is nice because she is less likely to trip on shoe laces. Will probably get her another pair this Spring in taupe or bone. Excellent customer service and fast shipping with tracking information available.

I have been buying these shoes for several years. When they become worn I use them for gardening and yard work. While the width is relatively true to size they are actually a little more narrow than the specified width would indicate. If you buy these shoes and wish to wear socks especially thick socks I would recommend the next wider size than you normally take. These shoes are extremely comfortable and if you get the proper size and fit for your foot they don’’t even need to be ’’broken in’’. The leather is soft the sole is soft but substantial enough for heavy work including occasional ladder-climbing. The one-strap velcro strap makes them a snap to put on and take off and you never have to worry about constantly re-tying shoelaces. Some people cannot wear closed-toe shoes but we can wear these because where the front seam is it lifts up the front-top a bit to give more toe space. I also have a high instep and this shoe really does accomodate this.
