I have 18 yrs. Experience in construction as a labor in grading and paving..That being said I went through all top brand name boots (red wing,danner,thorogood,ex.) The first thing that caught my attention was the height. Love the 10" height in a lace up boot,you can really feel the support.when I'm grading the uneven dirt surfaces are ankle Buster's..No problem with these babies..Second thing I like is the overall look,the color changes from a brown to a olive color depending on the angle of light. Also love the suede leather. And last but not least is the COMFORT?? man when I put these bad boys on felt like sneakers. And I never buy steel toe or composite do to bad experience with steel in the past. But I must say cannot feel the composite toe touching my toes so comfy all day. Oh yeah don't let me forget that there water proof,the tongue is closed all the way up to the second eyelit. No dirt or water getting in past the ankles for sure, maybe a little higher.400 grams thinsulat

Great boot. I have purchased these boots to get me threw the tough winters of Siberian China and I think they will do just that. The boots are very large more so in length than width. I ordered a size 11 and they are clearly a size 12 if not more and feel quite narrow for me having a wider than average foot. So I would suggest ordering at least a size smaller than your normal. Overall, a great tough boot.
