This is the second pair of Carolina Loggers I have ordered for my Grandson. He really liked the first pair and " would like to have another pair...Gram" He said he could not believe the difference in the comfort,fit, 'et...from his old style boot. Will probably be ordering another pair next year..

The boot was on sale at half price and they didn't have husband's size so I ordered the next closest size and would hope Shoeline got more sizes in stock within the 30 day refund/exchange period and then I would exchange them for the correct size. Husband likes Carolina boots and have bought several pair on Shoeline.com, but his last pair didn't last long at all, so we thought maybe a "domestic" versus "China" made product would be better quality. Unfortuantely, even though the boot was wrong size he didn't like them and said to send back and just order his normal Carolina boot. The boot is a good looking boot with brushed leather instead of plain leather and looked to be well made. We used to be able to get discounts and/or promo codes on top of sale prices on the Carolina boots, but now Shoeline has marked them as "featured" which means they are exempt from discounts and promo codes which I am not happy about, so naturally being a thrifty shopper I n

Can't really give a rating until I've worn them for a year and see how they hold up. Might rate higher a year from now. They appear to be well built but time will tell. Nice to see American made boots. They are still not the boots they used to make that were uncomfortable as hell for a week until you wore them in and could be re-soled a couple of times before you had to throw them out. Those were durable. Nobody seems to make those anymore. Todays Chinese made boots are junk.A couple of minor design critiques: There are only 3 pairs of lace hooks on the boots. 4 would have been better. The space between the last pair of eyes and the first hooks is too large. That area is tough to get tight and it allows your heel to move around a bit. The side flaps (probably not the correct boot terminology) should be shortened up a to spread the eyes out a little bit. That would also help to tighten the laces.
