There is a slight imperfection with the speed-lace eyelets on some of these hikers that does not affect fit, wear, or the outside appearance of the boot. I bought these as a secondary work shoe. They are comfortable, light weight, water proof, and the non slip is sole is good. the reason they are a secondary work shoe, is that some days I will spend a lot of time on an extension ladder, and the shank in the shoe is not designed for that, but I knew that when I bought them.
